Global SE Award 2018 Winners from Roland DG North Europe
Two dedicated Service Engineers from ALPHASET in Slovakia will represent Roland DG North Europe at the Global SE Awards 2018 at the Headquarters in Hamamatsu, Japan in April.
After an intensive day of Hands-On testing conducted by 9 highly skilled Service Engineers from the Roland DG North Europe territory, the two winners of the Regional Competition were found yesterday (7 February 2018).
Michal Peniaško and Vincent Votruba, both from ALPHASET in Slovakia, pulled away from the rest of the competition both in the online preliminaries and during the Hands-On testing and became the two winners, who will travel to Japan in April and represent Roland DG North Europe in the Global SE Awards competition.
The competition was tough between all nine contenders, who aside from the two winners included Stepan Deryabin (LRT), Łukasz Maliszewski (Igepa Polska), Peter Šuplata (ALPHASET), Anton Lenevskiy (ARKTEK), Łukasz Zgórski (Polkos) and Egor Bogdanov and Yaroslav Zavrazhin (Ezaprint).
The competition took all participants through 7 individual tests covering Service Call Logging, TrueVIS Print & Cut Alignment, Printhead change and Troubleshooting, PEC Reports and file handling in Roland VersaWorks Dual. All tests were evaluated based on time and accuracy, and the final results was a combination of the Hands-On test results and the online test results from the preliminaries.
Aside from the hard work throughout the day, the competition is also about networking and building strong relationships between our dedicated Service Engineers - both regionally and during the finals in Japan. “We saw a group of very focused people entering our local office in Denmark Wednesday morning, and despite the many different languages and nationalities the spirit was high throughout the day. During the breaks the Service Engineers teamed up across nationalities and took a closer look at some of the newer technologies displayed in our Creative Centre, and had great fun” says Jesper Jensen, Service Manager at Roland DG. “We like to think that this type of networking is helping our Field Team in their daily work, and provides the opportunity to help each other should they need so, while repairing or maintaining our machines”, he continues.
At ALPHASET in Slovakia, Managing Director, Milan Plechlo, is pleased with delivering two representatives for the finals in Japan. “This achievement is for me a great example of many years of collaboration between Roland DG and ALPHASET”, Milan Plechlo says and continues “… and with many more years to come.” Milan Plechlo is fully supporting his Service Engineers’ journey to Japan, and hope to see them achieve great results there too.
From Roland DGs side the time from here until April will be business as usual, where the Service Engineers are back in the field supporting the customers, but soon Michal Peniaško and Vincent Votruba will be off to Japan.
